These are bills Rozia introduced, championed, and got signed into law.

I ran on:  Protecting the right of every Virginian to marry who they love.

I delivered:  Codified marriage equality into the Code of Virginia — with a Republican governor’s signature.

I ran on:  Addressing health disparities that disproportionately harm Black women.

I delivered:  Established July as Uterine Fibroids Awareness Month in Virginia — shining a light on a health crisis ignored for too long.

I ran on:  Extending overtime pay to nannies, caregivers, and home health aides excluded from basic labor rights.

I delivered:  Introduced this bill in 2024 — vetoed. Came back in 2025 — vetoed again. Came back in 2026 — now the law of Virginia.

I ran on:  Justice for Virginians still imprisoned for offenses that are no longer crimes.

I delivered:  Introduced in 2024 — vetoed. Reintroduced in 2025 — vetoed again. Passed in 2026 — now the law of Virginia.

I ran on:  Taking on insurance companies and big pharma to make prescriptions affordable.

I delivered:  Capped out-of-pocket prescription drug costs for Virginia patients — signed into law.

I ran on:  Investing in mental health resources and support for our students.

I delivered:  Required evidence-based mental health awareness training for teachers across the Commonwealth — signed into law.

I ran on:  Expanding healthcare access for underserved communities.

I delivered:  Expanded physician assistant scope of practice — putting more healthcare providers in the communities that need them most.

I ran on:  Improving care and access for Virginia’s aging residents.

I delivered:  Expanded access to care in long-term care facilities through advanced registered medication aide reform — signed into law.

I ran on:  Keeping our schools prepared and our students protected.

I delivered:  Established statewide virtual and online learning guidelines and required schools to include public health emergency preparedness in their safety audits.

Passed the Virginia General Assembly — Co-Patron

These are major wins Rozia co-patroned and helped pass in 2026 — all headed to the Governor.

I ran on raising wages for Virginia’s working families. Virginia’s minimum wage will reach $15/hr by 2028 — delivering on a promise made to workers across the Commonwealth.

I ran on protecting workers when they need it most. Every Virginia worker now earns one hour of paid sick leave for every 30 hours worked — no exceptions.

I ran on making Virginia a place where workers don’t have to choose between their family and their job. Virginia becomes the first Southern state to guarantee paid family and medical leave.

I ran on strengthening the rights of unions and public workers. Virginia public employees now have the right to organize and collectively bargain for fair wages and working conditions.

I ran on addressing Virginia’s housing crisis. Passed legislation expanding affordable housing programs statewide, creating a revolving loan fund for mixed-income housing development, and giving localities new tools to preserve and expand affordable housing.

I ran on:  Investing in mental health resources and support for our students.

I ran on common-sense gun safety for our communities. Passed a comprehensive gun safety package including a ban on ghost guns, assault weapons restrictions, safe storage requirements, and new firearm indust

As Delegate I will: 

Adequately invest in public transportation. In order to solve one of the biggest infrastructure issues our district faces, we need to increase funding and resources for public transit systems, including buses and trains. 

I ran on addressing climate change and lowering energy costs. Passed legislation to expand energy efficiency programs, establish a statewide weatherization task force, expand access to solar energy, and protect Virginians from predatory utility practices.

Virginia’s right-to-work law continues to undermine workers’ ability to organize and secure fair conditions. Rozia will keep fighting until every Virginia worker has the full freedom to organize.

As Delegate I will:

  • Fight to ensure we properly fund education that will enable higher wages for school teachers and staff.
  • Invest in English Language Learners (ELL) to support their educational journey. By directing resources towards ELL programs, we can ensure that our students receive the necessary language acquisition support, cultural integration opportunities, and educational resources to thrive in the classroom.
  • Introduce legislation to provide necessary tools and resources for schools to achieve their Standards of Quality so that all children can receive a world-class education. 
  • Implement comprehensive measures that prioritize the safety and well-being of students, teachers, and staff.

  • I will support legislation to invest largely into the housing trust fund, this will allow localities and non-profits to address housing concerns in the area
  • Expand the First-Time Homebuyer Assistance Program 
  • Work to expand tenants rights and eliminate housing discrimination

I delivered:  Required evidence-based mental health awareness training for teachers across the Commonwealth — signed into law.

As Delegate I will: 

Adequately invest in public transportation. In order to solve one of the biggest infrastructure issues our district faces, we need to increase funding and resources for public transit systems, including buses and trains. 

I ran on:  Expanding healthcare access for underserved communities.

I delivered:  Expanded physician assistant scope of practice — putting more healthcare providers in the communities that need them most.

As Delegate I will: 

  • Advocate for the transition to clean energy. We need to address and prioritize the ongoing climate crisis in our communities, the Commonwealth of Virginia, and the country. 
  • A moratorium on all fossil-fuel projects and similar fuel projects.
  • Switching to 100% clean renewable energy by 2035.
  • Strengthening energy efficiency goals in the state

I ran on:  Improving care and access for Virginia’s aging residents.

I delivered:  Expanded access to care in long-term care facilities through advanced registered medication aide reform — signed into law.

As Delegate I will: 

  • Increasing funding to provide rapid and remote access to help. 
  • Increase funding for mental health services. This includes allocating resources to hire more mental health professionals, improve infrastructure, and enhance treatment programs.
  • Increase funding for additional psychiatric beds that meets the demand of the counties providing the service. 
  • Additional funding for Crisis Receiving Centers.
